I would like to offer an open forum to share about God. Many have been invited to this website who are all in various stages of their walk with Christ. Some do not know the Lord but are becoming open to discussion. My prayer for this site is that everyone has an opportunity to grow closer to God here. I hope that some of my friends in Christ who visit this website will be a help in prayer and encouragement through scripture for others who come with questions and concerns about who Christ is and what He did for us.
I also want to hear your stories about how God is working in your life. Share something God has taught you lately or what you are asking God to help you with. How can we pray for you? Are you lacking peace in an area in your life? Is there questions you have or do you need help in an area that you don’t want anyone to know your situation? We are sometimes ashamed or embarrassed to share with someone we know so we keep things inside and try to go it alone. See if God can help you find the support you need through this site where you can open up and remain anonymous if you wish.
At the end of your post, I ask that you label yourself in the stage you are in on your walk. I think it will help everyone to have an understanding on how to relate to you. Sign out using one of these symbols (zero, dash, or plus sign): 0 - +
0= I do not believe in God.
-= I may believe in God but I’m not sure yet. I have not accepted Jesus into my heart.
+= The cross says I know Jesus as my personal savior.
Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.
~ Isaaiah 12:3

I am thankful for the way God has been working in my heart and in my family. Praise God!
~Isaiah 9:6 ...And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He has been all of these names and more in my life.

Good day to all,
I am at a period in my life I KNOW God is trying to knock some sense into me. How do I know this? Its because of the people I come in contact with, who notice my struggle with life in general. Some days are better than others, some days seem forever ugly, and yet other days are very glorious. When I compare myself to "born again" individuals, I can honestly say I am NOT born again. Will I ever be? I would like to belive so. However, I DO BELIEVE there is power greater than myself or anything tangible in this thing we call life.
Do I own bibles and do I read them?
Yes, and....on occasion. My belief is that, it is expected of me to be the best person I should be by being respectful to others, maintain an EXTREME high level of integrity, live by core words that the military taught me: HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITTMENT, help others when I can and when it is deserved, work hard, just to name a few. I do not know if I will be in another type of physical form after I die, but if it is a place like the one I am living right now, I perfer not to be a part of it.
Now, the trinity...GOD, JESUS, and HOLY SPIRIT. To me..HOLY SPIRITY =
Belive in GOD, to do HIS bidding, and to be filled with some type of
feeling((rapture)) of THAT belief.
GOD = Creator of all, Father of Jesus
Jesus = Son of GOD. Therefore, there are TWO entities in which we are to follow and worship.
If I am wrong, I apologize. If I offend, it is NOT my intent. I am lost, I know, I accept, but I AM confident that I am also slowly finding the way. The light bulb isn't out, it is glowing dimly and getting brighter as time goes along.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this site. It is helping me.
In regards to the symbols.. I would guess I am inbetween the (-) and (+)

Gypsy,
I am so happy to have you here. Please do not worry about offending. This is a place to be completely open and honest. I have been praying for you and thanking the Lord for knocking on the door to your heart. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ~Revelations 3:20-21
You shared about the way you live and your rules which you abide by. Those are all good qualities and seem right and good but Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way that seems right to a man, But it’s end is the way of death.” I bring you this scripture because it is about relying on our own wisdom instead of turning to God to direct our paths. Without Jesus as our personal savior, we cannot receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus was sent to earth to show us how to live. Since you read your Bible occasionally, I encourage you to begin reading the four gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Take notes on how Jesus lived His life as a perfect example for us. Did He only help those who deserved it? All of those qualities you mentioned, relate them to Jesus’s life on earth.
God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are One. God is the Creator, Jesus is the Son sent in human form to save us from our sins and the Holy Spirit is spirit form who leads us and guides us when we call on the Lord. The Holy Spirit also offers intercession for us when we pray. Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. I hope that gives some clarification to you.
I’m thankful this site is helping you. Your responses and questions help me to grow spiritually as well convicting me to stay committed to my studies and prayer. Know that you don’t have to understand everything in the Bible to accept Jesus as your Savior. If that were the case, nobody would ever be saved. It is a learning process. The Holy Spirit reveals different things to different people at different times in their walk. You can read a passage in the Bible 10 different times and the Holy Spirit can reveal to you something new each time. You can accept Jesus at any time. He is anxiously awaiting your prayer. When you are ready, look to my post on How to Accept Jesus as Your Savior on Sept. 3, 2009. Thank you for sharing and keep me posted. I will be praying for you.

I've been learning just how powerful prayer is.

I was watching a sermon on tv today and the pastor said, “God doesn’t love anybody more than you.” It sat well with me so I thought I would share. He loves each one of us with His whole heart.

I want to commend you and encourage you in your effort to provide a site like this that will encourage others in their knowledge and walk with God. Knowing Jesus as my Savior since a young child, I feel very blessed and know a purpose and meaning to life that without Him would not be there. I have nothing to add to what you already said because I think you are right on. But I wanted you to know that I will be praying for you, and especially for those who are seeking, that God through His Spirit will open the understanding of their hearts and minds to come to the truth that we have in Him and His Word. + A Growing Grandma
Dear "A Growing Grandma",
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. The title you've proclaimed says so much. It reminds me that no matter the season we are in, we should never stop growing in Christ. Who hasn't experienced spiritual stagnance? I know I have. Perhaps you could share what kinds of things you do in your life to keep you convicted and growing?

Gypsy,
I haven't heard from you in a while. I want you to know you are in my prayers and you are loved. I am curious to know if you've been compelled to begin reading the gospels to learn about how Jesus lived His life on earth.

Good day to all,
Thank you for not forgetting me. :) I read thru Matthew and Luke, and now I am starting on St. John. Depending on the type of Bible I read from, it is difficult at times, yet intresting.
With what I am reading, I am really wondering if
Jesus is about to return in MY lifetime. Why do I say this, because of what I have read and natures fury with mankind. Four earthquakes in a week((Samoa,Phillipeans,Indonisia(x2))) also more activity is happening closer to home, in the Alaska island chains. Not to mention the title waves associated with such devisation. Also the discovery of more and more poisioned water supply, over all an increase in cruelty towards one another, murder, ecomomic collaspe accross the globe, and other MAJOR disasters describe in various chapters in the bible.
Am I concerned about the global issues at hand. Absoutly! I am not sure if I am scared, per-say, but I think of what I would do, how I would act, or try to, if AND when a disaster hits MY area.
I think I can be honest in saying that I think I AM growing spiritually because I am paying more attention to GOD's way of communicating with me. Do I think I am ready for the second comming? YES, I am. I am a proud member of GOD's soliders. I wear "HIS" armor now which becomes reinforced each time I contiue to learn and accept his teachings. I also believe that as far as I have come in the past few days, weeks, and months, I still have a long journey ahead of me. Maybe always will, my instead of my feet being so laden as of late, they seem to be less restrictive. I hope I make sense to you.
Anyway, I would like to conclude this section by saying thanks for not giving up on me, even when sometimes I give up on myself. My life is not my own, it belongs to GOD.

Dear Gypsy (Sister in Christ),
Praise God for your homecoming! It is such a blessing to me to see God work in others. We are to always be ready for Jesus’s return and once you have accepted Jesus into your heart and have repented from your sins, you have nothing to fear. You are a child of God and when He returns and takes His own, you will not be left to perish. Praise God!
As for your comment on the different Bible translations, I recommend The Nelson Study Bible NKJV. That is the Bible I use and the explanations at the bottom of the page explain almost each verse. It is less complicated than some of the other study Bibles I’ve used.
Have you found a church? Being able to go and worship alongside fellow believers is such an important tool in your growth. Your everyday life, you are most likely surrounded by the ways of the world. People living out a way that is not biblical. It is easy to slip into thinking those ways are right if you are not staying strong in God’s Word and attaining support and encouragement from fellow Christians. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of the death.
Ephesians 5:8-10 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

Kimber you are amazing in the way you tell of your strength. You are so open and encouraging. I hope and pray that you will continue in your effort to reach people daily.
Anonymous,
I am always so grateful for encouragement. I just wish to bring God glory every second that I can. Your response is one of the ways that God uses to show me He is pleased. So I thank you.
