Goat Milk Soap

We have been trying to utilize all that God has given us. On our humble 5 acres, we have our own little farm. Our milk goat, Milly has been a great blessing. Her milk is delicious and we plan to try our hand with cheese and butter. I have had success with soap and have been using it. I love it and would recomend it to anybody. It is such a creamy lather like no other soap I've used. My skin feels really soft afterward and seems to help my lotion absorb into my skin making a long lasting nourished effect. I plan to sell it once I get a system down so stay connected and I'll let you know when I'm ready to market it. I love all of this stuff and feel like I'm fulfilling God's purpose for me when I'm working in my home with my hands. I am making the most out of my husbands hard work as well. We are experiencing what it is like to reap the direct fruits of our own labor. Now that we've had a taste, it's all we dream of doing.

Proberbs 23:4 Labor not to be rich.

What does that speak to you? Do you think going to work for somebody else at a job you hate and never getting any time with your family is working to serve the Lord? In some cases, some have been called to work for others and some is a blessing but for us, we do it to be rich. We aren't rich in the worlds ways but we have more than we need and we work hard so we can have more. We are now learning that farming isn't going to make us rich but it can make us rich in time with our family, rich in work ethic, enrichen our children's characters and family values. Being rich in the Holy Spirit is more valuable to me than any of the things that money can buy and I think my job outside of my home is robbing me of that richness. Pray for me, I'm struggling.

The older I get, the more I ask myself, why? What benifit do I REALLY get from working, only to grow old, health deteroiates, and then pass away. I understand I have work in order to obtain monies to pay my bills to keep food on the table, and a roof over my head. But what am I REALLY achieveing? A cycle that never ends except in death itself? I am almost 48 years old and have worked since I was 11 years old. I am worn out. The job in itself entertains me, but I don't want to work anymore, but can't see where I cannot work either. I am very lost spiritually, emotionally,
and a few other areas as well.
"Labor not to be rich" is powerful to me, but seems unattainable at this point in my life. I don't want to be rich, I want to survive and be comfortable in my standards of living. Therefore, in GODs eyes, I may have my priorties backwards without knowing it. I don't have the answer; I don't know if there is an answer. To me money in the 21st is robbing everyone of the foundation of family, love, respect, honor, many others and it seem mostly time..there never seems to enough time just to sit back and enjoy anything...at least not so much for me. Believe me I understand some of your struggles. I am terrified in change, but I know I need to change in order to gain that which is lacking in my life. May GOD watch over both of us and our struggles and led us where we need to go.

Gypsy,
Thank you for your heartfelt and honest response. I am sorry for your struggles but am grateful you chose to share. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
We cannot trust in the things of man. It is essential that we recognize God as the giver of all that we have. Even your job was given to you by God. Ask Him, “Is this where you want me? Am I fulfilling your purpose for me?” Whatever your job, serve God. Serve Him in deed, in works, and don’t worry about all that you have here. You cannot take it with you. Instead, store up your treasures in heaven. The Lord will hold you accountable some day for your life on earth and He will not care what you drove or how big your house was. He will care about your relationship with Him, the peoples’ lives you touched, your character and whether or not you brought Him glory by your example.
How are you doing with fitting God into your life? He should be all of our #1 priority. I find it amazing that when I am putting God first, my time seems to increase and be more fulfilling. I’ve learned that sometimes when I’m unhappy with things in my life, my heart was not in the right place, once I got my heart right, I realized it wasn’t that thing in my life at all, it was my heart. Do you have a heart for God? Are you seeking Him in all things? The way you are feeling is not of God but from all trials, you have the opportunity to learn from them and get closer to Him. Do not rely on yourself to fix the problems in your life. Seek His guidance.
Revelation 3:20
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in ..."
